Ginny for Dictator !

President Bush put it well: "It would be a lot easier to have a dictatorship, as long as I am the dictator." That strikes a real chord in my heart. If I were the dictator, all of my objections to the dictatorship aspects of the "New World Order" would disappear.

The next time somebody is needed to assume the position of dictator, I would like to be considered. I feel my qualifications are quite good.

In the first place, I am a woman. A woman makes an excellent dictator. After all we have years of subjugation to get even for, and it is very useful for a dictator to have a chip on his/her shoulder.

Secondly, I am much happier when I get my own way. A happy dictator is a more tolerant dictator.

Third, I am smart. I realize that this may actually be considered a disadvantage but think of it this way: do you really want your dictator to be unable to put two words together when talking about doing good things for people?

Fourth, I have a law degree. I realize that this also may be considered a disadvantage, but reflect on some of the legal opinions that have been given to the current dictator, and I am sure that you will want to operate under a more plausible legal basis than is currently the case.

Fifth, I have no children to embarrass me.

Sixth, my husband is a quiet intellectual who is happy as long as he has crossword puzzles to solve and access to intellectual internet lists, a few good challenging games, and enough work on programming projects to make him feel useful. Thus he also will not be around to publicly embarrass me.

Seventh, as is typically the case with a woman, I do not expect enormous financial rewards.

Eighth, I am sure that I can handle wisely any "license to kill" that goes along with the job.

Ninth, I am aware that the fundamentalists will soon defect from the present regime, so I will be prepared to keep my relationships with the "mainstream" churches alive and well. The mainstream churches are much better allies for us, as they mainly want to see the fundamentalists dethroned from their present position which allows them to make undue demands which adversely affect the true Christians who believe that, as Jesus showed us, church and state should be separate. This will produce a savings in the regime's money and attention.

Tenth, I will shift the focus of the New World Order from war to diplomacy and alliances with other countries. This also has the great advantage of being cheaper than war. I am not, however a pacifist, and will retaliate harshly against any enemy attack and to the extent possible, ONLY on those persons or persons who actually harmed us.

I hope that I will be given consideration when the position becomes available.
